Carmen Horne

Office Coordinator

As a key member of the administrative staff, Carmen oversees office operations, managing and maintaining the Collaborative workspace. She provides support across teams on various client projects, and helps maintain and update the Collaborative website and blog. In addition she manages the front desk, offering a warm welcome to Collaborative guests and clients.

Prior to joining Collaborative Carmen worked as a Marketing Manager for Vingle, a social media start up site located in South Korea. There she executed content marketing strategies to boost user engagement and build brand identity. She has also worked for various local organizations including The Autism Society of America, the National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund, and Church Women United where she curated an art exhibit for the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Carmen is a proud alumna of the University of Maryland (fear the turtle, cheer the turtle!) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She is passionate about education, and in her spare time helps administer an afterschool program for Montgomery County students. She resides outside Washington, DC with her husband (a former educator) and retired racing greyhound.
