Nicole Wilkins works across teams to support the development of strategies, initiatives and products that ensure quality education and enrichment experiences for children, families and communities. She contributes to the organization's focus on strengthening learning systems and building the capacity of networks. Nicole also helps to develop communication tools and strategies to effectively support afterschool and summer learning opportunities and the National Network of Statewide Afterschool Networks, 50 statewide networks and partnerships focused on policy and funding for high-quality afterschool programs.
Nicole joins Collaborative Communications from the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership (MAP), a Statewide Afterschool Network, where she served as Senior Communications and Policy Associate. At MAP, Nicole helped to oversee the development of policy and legislative campaigns, implementation of statewide budgetary and advocacy efforts and creation of innovative communications strategies. Nicole is an alumna of the national White-Riley-Peterson Fellowship Program, through which she worked to strengthen and coordinate supportive policies on afterschool and summer learning opportunities.
Nicole holds a Bachelor's degree in political science, with concentrations in public policy and administration as well as law and legal issues, from Northeastern University. She is currently working on obtaining her Master's degree in political communication from American University.
